Poople Archive | Look Back at Past Daily Start Words
The daily puzzle resets every day, but nothing is actually gone for good. Poople keeps a running record of every start word it has ever served up, and it's honestly the best practice tool when you're stuck waiting for tomorrow's puzzle. Each entry below is a past starting word, and the verified solution for each one lives in the official archive.
What's in the archive
The archive is a list of past daily start words, one per day, all the way back to when Poople launched. Since every player gets the same starting word each day, the archive is the same for everyone, a shared history of the game. It's useful for a few things: reviewing ladders you missed, studying which vowel patterns come up again and again, and practicing your ladder instincts against old words with no timer pressure.
Use the archive to get faster
Replaying old start words is one of the best ways to train the habit from the hints guide, spotting the vowel swap early and avoiding dead-end words. Because old puzzles aren't timed, you can sit with them and test how deep you can actually go before the ladder clicks. When a similar shape shows up in the daily puzzle, the instinct is already there.
Recent daily start words
Here are the most recent start words, newest first, so you can see the flow. The full verified solution for each one is published in the official Poople archive the day after the puzzle closes.

Why the archive matters for understanding par
Looking through past start words also makes the scoring rules concrete. You'll see which days were easy five-move ladders and which ones stretched past eight. Words heavy on vowels in the middle tend to line up neatly with POOP, while words with awkward consonant clusters force longer, more careful paths. Reading the archive is how you learn which shapes are hard before the timer is even on.
